Attempted Camping in Smithfield Canyon 2015
We decided it would be fun to go up Smithfield Canyon and the let the boys camp overnight in a tent with Dad. We got up there and got the tent set up. We started a fire and roasted hot dogs and had some chips and fruit. Then we busted out the ingredients for S'mores. As we started cooking the s'mores, the storm clouds started to roll into the canyon. After enduring the wind and rain and lightning and thunder. we decided we better head back home for the night. It was a fun night even though they didn't sleep in a tent.
Turkeys Hunting for Turkeys
This year Cooper was able to go hunting with Bryce a couple of times. One time he went and sat in the blind up at Grandpa Cooper's ranch while Dad searched for turkeys. On another occasion, they went Elk hunting together. I don't know if they even saw any elk this day, but it was a good opportunity for them to spend some quality time together. Cooper doesn't love hiking but he seemed to keep up with Dad most of the time.

Random Days of Awesomeness!
This is Clayton the morning of his first day at Kindergarten. This year he has Mrs Hamp for a teacher. While we lived at Grandma and Grandpa's, Clayton and Cooper rode a bus to and from school. This was nice because they were able to make some friends and get to know some kids in the neighborhood and in their school classes.
Parker has enjoyed living at Grandma and Grandpa's. She is not sure what to think about our new house. She still takes really good naps. She gets to sleep with Bryce at night in the big bed and I sleep on a twin down on the floor in the TV room. It works out great for all of us, although it spoils Parker and she thinks we always need to lay with her. Parker loves to open green beans and eat the little seeds inside the beans. She won't eat the actual beans, but loves the seeds. I think its great because it keeps her entertained while we eat!
Grandma Cooper started having some health problems in the summer. Her congestion and cough always got the best of her. She also started having issues with her legs. They were really swollen and she had to have them dressed on a weekly basis. Grandma also had blood clots off and on. She ended up in hospital for a couple of days.
This little girl makes me so happy. She dressed up like her Grandma Hatch. She spent a few days with Jacqui and this is what she looked like when I got home. It looks like she had a fun time! Parker loves to eat baby oranges!

Wind Caves
For the Douglas reunion this year, we went hiking up to the wind caves up Logan Canyon. It is a fun, adventurous hike that has a steady incline. The kids were up ahead of everyone else but they had a good time together. It was such a beautiful hike and even Parker enjoyed it from the backpack on Dad's back!

Summer Swimming 2015
Steph and Paul got a new pool in their backyard, so we have been spending so much time over there. The kids love to swim and this summer they really got a lot of practice between Steph's pool and our 5 week vacation in Texas.
Parker is only 18 months old, but she is so petite and strong. She loved just hanging on the rim. I love that she has her tongue out, just like her mama!
Parker is such a little nut with so much personality. I accidentally put her swimsuit on backwards in this picture but she didn't want me to change it. Sometimes she would just rather hang out outside of the pool instead of getting in the water.
Both Clayton and Cooper are such good swimmers. They are both very comfortable in the water. It's a good thing and a bad thing. They can dive down to the bottom to get something or they can just tread water and do as they wish in the water. I was never a great swimmer, so its amazing to watch them just swim and get around in the water with such ease.
