Fall Fun

For Family Home Evening, we decided to carve pumpkins with Jacqui, Jared, and their kids. All of the kids had a great time pulling out the seeds and helping carve the faces.
My friend, Bekka just bought a new house and so the kids and I decided to go rake up the leaves in her yard. They had so much fun jumping in the leaves and throwing them around. It reminded me of when I was young and we had a lot of leaves in our back yard that we would play in every fall.

6 Weeks

Clayton turned 6 weeks today. He is starting to lift his head alot more. Bryce calls him "bobble head" right now. He is getting stronger though. He is also a very loud baby...he likes to make lots of sounds. He grunts alot while he is sleeping and after he eats his bottles. It is very hard to sleep in the same room with him and expect to get any sleep. He also sounds like he is starving when he is drinking his bottles.

Clayton got his first enima tonight. The poor baby has been having a rough time these last few days. It helped and he feels alot more relaxed and content.
He loves it when mom and dad hold him. He just seems to calm right down when we pick him up. When we talk to him, he tries so hard to talk to us. He moves his mouth and sticks his tongue out. Clayton also loves to take baths with mom. Its cute to watch his little frog legs move back and forth. He also opens his eyes while he is sleeping. You can see the whites of his eyes as they roll back. I love to watch him when he first falls asleep because that is when he smiles the most.

Congratulations Tyler

My little brother, Tyler, just got his mission call to Guatemala, Guatemala. He will leave in February and will serve an LDS mission for two years. I just wanted to let Tyler know how proud I am of him. He has always been such a neat peron and a great example to me. I hope my boys will grow up to be like their Uncle Tyler. Tyler, I am happy that you made this big decision to go on a mission and teach people the gospel of Jesus Christ. You will be a great missionary and I know you will accomplish great things. Thank you for being such a good brother and friend. I will always look up to you. (not just literally) I love you.

Hollywood Connection

As many of you know, it is kind of hard to juggle your time when you have a new baby. One of the most common questions I get asked, is, "how is Cooper adjusting to the new baby?" Well, Cooper is doing great. I feel like Cooper has adjusted perfectly. It is me that is the problem. It's just hard because obviously Cooper isn't getting all that one-on-one time with me that he used to, but that is understandable since I have two kids to split my time with now. Anyway, Cooper does not seem to notice so we must be doing ok at spending time with both kids.
Well, last week Jacqui watched Clayton so I could take Cooper and we could spend some time with each other and his cousins. We went to an indoor theme park called Hollywood Connection. Steph lined up all the reservations and got great prices for everyone. Thank you Stephanie for planning and providing the fun activity for all of us. We had a great time!
It was nice to be able to spend time with Cooper. We rode on a dragon roller coaster. We also went on the merry go round. One of our most favorite activities was the laser tag. I wore the vest and Cooper held the gun. I would just follow him around and he would shoot everyone. He thought that was the coolest thing ever. He had fun hiding and then jumping out and shooting people. He ended up in second place out of 10.
He also loved playing the minature golf. Jocelynn showed him how to hold his hands correctly and after that he would concentrate and try to do it right. He did a great job. He would tee off and then go pick up his ball and put it right by the hole. Then he would hit it in. A great strategy I thought!!!

Mom, Jocelynn, and Stephanies most favorite ride was the dragon roller coaster!

Halloween Activities with Grandma

Last week, Stephanie invited us up to stay in her condos up at Wolf Creek. The kids had a blast swimming in the hot tub and going on walks down by the pond. We even saw two beautiful foxes while we were there. Mom had some fun Halloween activities for the kids. She let them decorate cupcakes into spiders and cats. They had a great time and it was fun to watch them each be creative in their own ways. Thanks mom for always doing fun little activites for the kids. I love watching you interact with all the kids because you have such a talent with these young kids and I can see how much you love each child. Thanks for being so patient and loving. You are a great example to all of us.
