On Tuesday, July 3rd, Sherrie and her family arrived from Texas. Everyone came down from Cache Valley and we had a fourth of July dinnerout in the back of Jacqui's yard. She has the perfect yard for an afternoon/evening party because it is all shaded. A big thanks to Jacqui and Jared for letting us come into your home and allowing us to have a wonderful time with everyone!
(As you can tell in this picture, Sherrie is expecting a wonderul little miracle! She is eight months along and doing well. She is going to have a little girl. We are all so excited for her and her family! We are glad she could make it up to Utah, especially with all the complications she was having...early spotting, influenza, bronchitis, moving to Houston, and trying to sell their home in Roanoke!)
For dinner, everyone contributed to make "walking tacos". I love walking tacos because you just throw meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, and jalepenos into a bag of doritos and shake it up. YUM! We also had fruit kabobs that looked like fireworks! Jacqui provided yummy sugar cookies and I made a big tray of peanut butter bars.
It was just nice to sit around in the backyard and just visit with each other. The kids had a great time swimming in Jacqui's big pool. Some of us played with the frisbie and football. Kylee and Katie kept us entertained with their most embarrassing stories and Kylee fell on your head at one point! When it started getting darker, we took the kids out front and enjoyed a few fireworks! Happy Independence Day!!
