Mom, Dad, and Tyler came into town on the night of July 1st. The boys were so happy to have them stay at our home. They both just adore their grandparents and it makes me so happy. I love that even though they live far away, my boys are still attached to them and have a close relationship with them.
Mom and Tyler helped me make chinese food for dinner that night. I made lettuce wraps, vegetable lo mein, and baked southwestern eggrolls. It was time consuming but the food tasted so good. Even Tyler tried a bite of each item...who would of thought he would still be "picky" after his mission!
On Monday, we went to eat pizza at the Clinton Park and then Grandpa took Cooper and Clayton to the store to pick out stuff to make walking sticks. Grandpa spent lots of time carving and creating the walking sticks with the boys. Cooper loves spending one-on-one time with Grandpa.
Later that night, we let the boys do some sparklers. Last year, Clayton would not hold the sticks, but this time he thought it was pretty neat. We have a lot of wildffires here in Utah this summer, and many cities have banned fireworks altogether. The sparklers were quick, easy and exciting for the boys!
On Tuesday, Tyler and I went shopping with mom to help her find a new swimsuit. After that, we went to the Roy Aquatics Center to swim. It was packed with so many people, but the boys had a great time. We went down the slide a few times and Clayton mostly hung out in the kiddie pool. The weather was really hot, so it was a great day for swimming!
