Logan Temple

Bryce and I got married here on December 27, 2000. And then on October 28, 2005, we had Cooper sealed to us here at the Logan Temple. On May 17, 1884 the Logan temple was finished being built. Roughly 25,000 people worked on the Logan Temple. Rocks and timber used for the temple was hauled from the Temple Fork area of Logan Canyon. As completion of the temple neared, women in the area were asked to make carpets for the temple, since commercially made carpet could not be bought in Utah at that time. The women spent two months working to hand make two thousand square yards of carpet. My Grandma and Grandpa Cooper and Hatch were married here. My mom and dad, Steph and Paul, Jocelynn and Kyle, and Sherrie and Brian were married here. It is my favorite temple. I think it is beautiful.

Easter 2008

For Easter, we hid a basket for Cooper out in Grandma and Grandpa Douglas' back yard. Cooper also found some bubbles and a spiderman kite. His favorite part was the bubbles. Bryce blew alot of bubbles for Cooper and he had so much fun running around trying to pop them.

We also went to Steph and Paul's for Easter dinner. We had all of the Cooper's over for lunch. It was fun to be able to see Grandma and Grandpa, Lynn and April, and Cort and Robin. We also had an egg hunt in the basement for the kids. Their were 170 eggs that we hid for the kids. Some of them were in even glow in the dark.

Easter is always a great time to reflect on the atonement and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is such a great blessing in our lives to know that we have a Savior who not only atoned for our sins and mistakes, but also knows exactly how we feel when we are going through happy times or sad times. I am thankful that Jesus came to this earth and set an example for us when he was resurrected, and that the grave was empty that beautiful Easter morning. It's nice to know that we to can be resurrected so that we can live with our families again in the next life. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ lives and I am grateful for Him.

Solomon Center

When Mom was up last week, we went to a place in Ogden called the Solomon Center. It is a huge activity center that has cosmic bowling, bumber cars, glow-in-the-dark miniature golfing, arcades, indoor sky diving, indoor surfing, wall climbing and many more activities. Everyone from Cache Valley came down and we had a fun day at the Solomon Center. For only $11.00, we got to bowl one game, ride the bumber cars, play golf, and have pizza and a drink. The kids started off loving the bowling, but they were soon ready to move onto the arcade games. Cooper kept trying to runaway and so I had to keep a close eye on him. The kids loved the bumper cars, however, Jaden just sat in his car and Jaxson had fun ramming into the girls' cars.
After that, we went upstairs and tried the indoor sky diving. You first have to go through a little training so they can teach you how to hold your legs and arms. They also teach you some signals that they use with their hands. We were also told that if we breathed through our mouths, then we would slobber all over our faces, so we all made sure that we were using our noses instead. So, instead of slobber all over our faces, we had snot everywhere. Anyway, we had to dress in these cool outfits and put on goggles, helmets, and ear plugs. Cooper was so excited to try it out. He told everyone that he was going to be a super hero. He looked so cute in his little outfit. But, when it was his turn, he didn't like it at all. The pressure from the wind is so strong, that it almost takes your breath away and makes you panic. He started crying so we took him out. Well, the next time, the guy that was in there with us, turned off the wind and tried to get Cooper to lay down with him on the floor. Cooper was smarter than that so he wouldn't lay down. I just told the guy to turn on the wind and let him try it. He floated for a second and then started crying again. Every one was outside the cylinder watching him. In fact, alot of people crowded around because they saw this cute little boy trying to sky dive. It was really neat and I want to thank Paul and Steph for giving us that opportunity. We had so much fun.

St. Patricks Day!

At Joy School, Cooper's class dressed up for St. Patricks Day. The teacher bought them hats and a cute green necklace and they had to go on a scavenger hunt for some gold coins. The kids had so much fun that day and I found Cooper a cute shirt that had a motorcyle on it and it said, "St. Pat's Motorcycle Club".

Cruise Around the Ward

Bryce and I got to go to a church activity the other night. The decorated each table with decor from different countries around the world. We sat at China, which is interesting since I have been to China before. The youth acted like our waitresses and brought us drinks and our food. We had a good time and the gym was decorated very cute. It was a great activity and gave us a chance to get to know some of the ward members a little bit better.

Free Haircuts!!

Every three weeks, I get to cut Cooper and Bryce's hair. It grows like crazy. We used to have our friend cut their hair for $5. When we moved down here, we decided to invest in some clippers and scissors. I started practicing on Cooper and then I moved on to cutting Bryce's hair. I have only nicked Bryce's hair once and it was in the back of his head, so he couldn't even see it. Anyway, I actually enjoy it and it saves us money!

When You're Here, You're Family!

Jocelynn, Steph, Jacqui, Grandma, Tawni, Bryce and myself were able to go eat lunch with Kellye and her mother at Olive Garden. We had so much fun and everyone was so layed back and it just felt good. There was never an awkward moment and we just had a great time getting to know each other. We talked about how Kellye has the softest, most perfect, ageless skin on her face. It kind of embarrassed her but it is true. Jocelynn and Stephanie said that they were nervous to meet her because they didn't want her to look at their faces. You know, we age alot quicker up here in Utah because of the dry weather. Kellye's mother also looked alot younger than she really was. We told Kellye a few stories about Sean and talked to her about her wedding dress, or should I say, two wedding dresses. Just kidding, Kellye! Thanks for coming to see all of us!
