I Like to Look For Rainbows....

Cooper turned 8 years old back in April but we waited till June 29 to get him baptized so Grandma and Grandpa Hatch could be here to see it.  It worked out nicely because Addey was able to get baptized with him.  We were able to schedule our church house for the baptism and then use another church for the dinner afterwards.
We had over 85 people there to support Cooper and Addey.  Some of the people that attended were Pat (neighbor) and the Clark family(neighbors), the Booher family, Jenn Weaver(Cooper's birth mom), and Teresa, Hannah, Alex, and Nana; Jocelynn, Kyle, Tawni, Ty; Grandma and Grandpa Cooper, the Merrills, the Casebolts, Walkers, Gabrishs', Brandon, Jill and kids; Gma and Gpa Douglas; Carrie, Brad and kids; Sara, Derek and kids.
Here was the program: Opening Song: "I Have a Family Here On Earth". I cried through the whole thing.  I couldn't even sing the words.  This is Cooper's favorite song. Gma Douglas played the piano and Gma Merrill conducted.  Scott Sumner conducted.  My mom spoke on the Holy Ghost and Britt and Shay spoke on baptism.  Tawni, Britt, Shay, and Kylee sang "If the Savior Stood Beside Me". They were both baptized and confirmed. Bryce said that the Spirit was so strong as they entered the water to do the baptism. He said it felt like fire.
After the confirmations, Scott asked Stephanie and I to share our testimonies.  I, of course, cried through the whole thing.  I was so proud of Cooper and the righteous young man that he is becoming.  He is such a good kid and has a such a sweet spirit.  I am so thankful that he made the decision to be baptized. He is a great example to our family.
Afterwards, we had dinner for everyone who came to the baptism. We served BBQ sandwiches and then had family bring salads, chips, and desserts.  There were so many people there that it was hard to get the time to speak to everyone.  Cooper received some nice gifts and it turned out to be a great day!
