Weekend in Reveiew

Bryce had to attend some training on "mold" on Friday and Saturday in Smithfield, so we spent the weekend up there. On Friday, we stopped and saw grandma and grandpa and of course, made our trip down to the barn to chase the chickens and walk through the cow manure. By the way, for any of you who don't know, I love the smell of my grandpas farm. It reminds me of when I was little and we use to visit Utah during the summer!
After grandma's, we stopped by the Pumpkin Walk. Its a tradition is Cache Valley where people make "scenes" out of pumpkins. Cooper and Jaxson loved the Batman and Kung Fu Panda scenes. I couldn't believe some of the neat things they could create with pumkins. This is one of his favorite books. "Where the Wild Things Live" We also went to Mike and Tami's to play in the leaves. I used to play in the leaves when I was a kid, so I raked a bunch of leaves and covered the kids up. They thought it was alot of fun. Again, brought back lots of memories.
On Saturday night, we went with Jocie and Steph out to the Heritage Farm. They had alot of Halloween activities for the little kids. Cooper got to go on a train ride with his cousins.

They also played in a hay maze and Cooper enjoyed jumping of the bales into alot of hay. We also walked through the corn maze and we all sipped on hot chocolate next to the fire. The kids did not like the "headless horseman" or the scary "monster" that chased them. But, we had a great time.

Sunday Best

I got Cooper this cute outfit last Spring on a Clearance rack. He looks so handsome in this suit. Every one told him at church that he looked so cute. In fact on the way home from church he said, "My teacher said that I looked totally awesome and that I was a doofus." We started laughing so hard. He says the funniest things some times.

Last week, I was trying to get him to say "see" because he pronounces it "hee". Anyway, he finally said, "mom, I am just speaking Spanish."
We were driving home one day and had this conversation in the car. I said that I needed to vaccum when I got home. He said, "Mom, it will be too loud...why don't you go mow the lawn." I said, "Why don't you got mow the lawn." He said, "Little boys don't mow the lawn, they play with their toys."

Down on Grandpa's Farm

We visited Grandma Cooper this past weekend and while we were there, we just had to make a trip down to the barn. Cooper loves to go to the shed and yell as loud as he can to scare the pigeons out! Then we climbed on some of the hay bails that were stacked in another shed. It totally reminded me of when I was young. We used to play up on the hay and make houses. Grandma would always yell down from the house for us to stay away from the hay.
Cooper also loves to sit in the tractors. I also used to do this when I was younger. I would get in my boots and cowboy hat and go down to the barn to help Grandpa either milk the cows or bail the hay. I remember the hay bails being so heavy.

Cooper enjoys feeding the cows. Sometimes the cows will eat out of his hands, but this time they were a little scared of him. We love grandpa's farm and we are so blessed to be able to take our kids to it. Its neat that grandma and grandpa's grandchildren loved the farm and now their great grandkids have that opportunity as well!! Cooper looks forward to it every time!

Halloween Party

Bryce and I went to a Halloween Party on Friday night that was hosted by his company. They have a party every year and you have to be in a costume to come to it. This year we decided to be a "biker" couple. We had everything we needed except the tatoos and peircings. They served great food and we played games and sang karaoke.
Jared was Dr. Evil from Austin Powers and Jacqui was a "70's chick". Jared won the individual costume prize.

Let it Snow!

Yesterday we had a huge winter storm! It was crazy because it was a storm that should have come in January, not the first of October. I didn't really think we would get that much because the weather forecasters are always wrong, but we got slammed.
Here in Roy, we got 11 inches. Cooper was so excited when he woke up. He told Bryce, "Mom is going to be so happy." I was so happy when I got to shovel the drive way twice after church...actually I enjoy doing it most of the time. I also got to explain to Cooper what "yellow snow" is. He kept walking around asking me if that was yellow snow. He had a great time eating the snow until his hands started freeezing.

Pickin' Pumpkins in the Patch

Out in Paradise, Utah, they have a pumpkin patch that you can go and pick your own pumpkins and just put money in a little box. It is a really neat little patch and Cooper loved picking his very own "bootiful" pumkin.
Jocelynn and I also loved the pumkin patch! We each found 2 large pumkins!

2008 Pictures in the Fall Leaves

Every year during the fall season, our family takes pictues up the canyon in the beautiful leaves. Here are our family pictures this year. We took them up Porcupine.
