Mantua in November

Yesterday, we went 4-wheeling with Marilyn, Roger, Sheridan, and Luann. We decided to meet them over in Mantua. The weather couldn't have been better and it was so nice to be able to get out and enjoy the crisp mountain air and beautiful scenery. Although most of the trees were leave less, it was still very pretty.
We spent the first part of the day going up to Inspiration Point. The temperature in the valley was close to 70 but up where we were, it was cold. I was warm in my jacket and gloves though. We were going along nice and smooth until we hit some snow. The back end of my 4 wheeler kept sliding and it was making me nervous....that's when Marilyn kindly reminded me that I should put it in 4WD!!
After that, I actually enjoyed riding in the snow. It wasn't too deep and it was fun to slide around the corners, knowing that I was in control. There were alot of people out riding and some even trying to get to the top in their jeeps.
After we reached the top, we headed back down to Camp Mantua to stop and eat lunch. It was alot warmer down there. We hit alot of spots where there was big water holes. I went through some of the smaller ones, but the men had to prove that they were men and they went through the big water holes.
This was probably one of the last times we will be able to ride this year, without freezing to death. We had such a great time and it was nice to spend some time with Marilyn and Roger, doing something we all love!

It was so fun to ride on Saturday. Lots of variety - dust, mud, snow, slush, water! Thanks for letting us go with you. We had a great time.

Roger says: Jenn rode like a pro.
Bryce had a grin on his face all day long -- even in the deep water!
We all had fun. It was great to be together.
